We keep expounding today’s gospel amd gaining much wisdom from it. Resilience is a word used to describe the ability to try again after failure, rising again after falling. It is essentially the ability to bounce back from difficult situations. As humans, there is this tendency to stop trying after we fail. But we really have something to learn from Peter in the gospel of John who cried out that they have tried all night catching nothing. Fishing all night without a catch is not a joke. We all know that night time is best time for fishermen. Yet when daybreak came they were still found with a net, meaning they were still trying.
This passage speaks to the reality of our own lives. We will face times when we feel empty, like the disciples after a fruitless night. But within us lies a wellspring of resilience, a strength that allows us to keep searching. And when we least expect it, grace arrives, a divine intervention that sets us on a new course.
The miracle of the fish is a powerful symbol. It reminds us that even when we feel like failures, God’s abundance is ever-present. We simply need to have the faith to cast our nets, to take that first step forward.
It could be trying to stop a bad habit. It could be trying to start life or working hard to get promoted. It could be a struggle within best know to you and I alone. Don’t quit trying, don’t stop doing it again. When Grace comes, when help arrives make sure you have your nets ready for grace to direct to the right side.
Keep building till opportunities come and grab it.
Spiritually enriching. Thanks Fr.

Great reminder that we have a part to play in every miracle. If the disciples did not have a net ready, there would have been no miracle.
Thank you Father!
